I should had finished it if it wasn't for my Vietname trip and my busy schedule on personal projects.. I am currently trying to finish all the constructors race, all those races are very easy. After that will be the Super License races and that will be it. Hope to finish it in 2 months.

After more than 3 weeks break from GT4 I finally got back from where I left, Special Condition Hall (Hard), and finished it few days before. I think most people will agree with me that dirt and snow tracks are not as fun as the hard and solid roads. Going through those Ss are really challenging, below are some of the things I find. I am not an expert of dirt and snow, so please give comment if you have any.
1) Dont be afraid of the drift while cornering. Use the rear of the car to stop the drift to avoid penalty.
2) Tab the accelerator when cornering especially comming out of the curve.
3) Use the inner lane to overtake cars in the corner and use the rear to your advantage. (Bumping the opponent car to avoid penalty)
4) Maneuverability is everything, adjust your car settings to optimize maneuverability with the expense of speed.

Well.. I had been playing with Mission Hall for the a1 license missions and those missions are really hard especially with the PS2 controller. Controlling the turns and the accelerator are a real challenge. Below are a few things i found when playing those mission runs...
1) break early before a turn, release the break when making the turn, tap a bit of accelerator when turning in and full accelerate when comming out of the turn.
2) if need to nudge the traffic off to make the pass, hit it softly on the rear on the sideway to avoid getting penalized for 5 seconds. The best way to pass is to take the inner side during a turn.
3) Always use R2 button to hold the geat shift to get maximum acceleration and draft behind a car in a straight lane.
4) and lastly patient patient patient. Finish the track even though you know you will never beat the lead car to get the feel of the track... you need to try a few more times to get the right rythme for turning.

Well.. I had been quite slow with GT4 recently. Running those endurance races are such a pain . I almost reach 50%, after about 3 months! My slowest game so far. Now I like to share with you all some of the things i personally found in GT4 when running those long races.
1) Use lower slick tires unless you are in a curly tracks where higher slick tires can out run other cars in turns even though you need to pit more times than them. I still recommend lower slick tires as it provide much higher A-Spec points.
2) Plan your pit strategy. Calculate how many times you need to pit from the total laps you need to run. Most of the time you don't need to stretch your tire wear if you planned the pit strategy.
3) You dont need to always fill up your fuel when u pit. Check your fuel level when u pit for tire and estimate the fuel consumption before the next pit stop. You can take off from the pit earlier before taking a fuel tank of fuel by pressing X.
4) Be patient during early laps of the race. Its always better to be slow than spin off the track. Follow a few cars for few laps to get the feel of the track first.
5) A easier maneuver car is always better than a fast car but hard to maneuver. You can always lighten your fast car, improve your breaks or raise your car level higher to improve your maneuverability.
Thats what I have so far for endurance races.

Found more tips and tricks on the net.. thought i share it here
GT4 Tips: Use Of NOS
If you install a NOS system on your car, you can tap into it by pressing the R1 button. The Nitro guage is located to the right of the dash. Once it is empty, you will need to take a pit stop to refuel it or wait for it to slowly recharge.
GT4 Tips: Hidden Controls
There are a number of "hidden" controls in Gran Turismo 4 that will make navigating the game a bit easier.
On the main Gran Turismo Mode screen, press L1 to jump the cursor to Home, and press R1 to jump the cursor to the country of your vehicle's manufacturer.
When looking at your garage in Home, press START to bring up the vehicle settings screen.
When changing your vehicle's settings, press START to enlarge the Engine Power/Torque curve.
At the end of a series race, press START to skip the finish times and championship points screens.
During a replay, press L3 to fast-forward.
During a pit stop, press X to to stop refueling, letting you get out of the stop faster.
With the Driving Force Pro wheel, press any combination of the LEFT, RIGHT, and DOWN buttons on the D-pad to look in that direction while driving.
GT4 Tips: Secret Black Cars
The vehicle line-up in the used car showrooms is constantly changing. On the last week of the changing cycle--starting day 694--four secret black race cars appear in the showrooms. Two of the cars are in the Used Car Showroom I and the other two are in Showroom II, and they only appear for one week (Gran Turismo time). All four cars can be purchased for about Cr.8,500,000 total, which is an absolute bargain for these sort of race cars.
GT4 Tips: Transfer Files
If you have a save file from GT3 you can import money and licenses into GT4. You can transfer license qualifications but you do not receive the unlockable items that come with the license when you get them without importing. You can transfer money up to 100,000 dollars. This can only be done once.
GT4 Tips: Best Starting Car
To smoke the competition at the beginning of the game purchase the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR '92, on sale in the Used Car Showroom I.
GT4 Tips: Horse Power
When you buy or receive a new car, before driving it change the oil. This will increase the Horse Power of the car, which sometimes can be a pretty significant increase.

I started feeling bored with GT4 after finishing most of the Hall except endurance and special mission. The endurance hall is really boring, i mean come on who will race the track for 24 hours with a PS2 box? Yeah.. i usually put on B-Spec mode to race those.
My fastest car in GT4 right now is Mercedes Sauber C 9 Race Car '89, running at 383 kmph in the speedway track.
I am scouting for a new game now.. probably can't finish GT4. I finished GT3 A-Spec in about 3++ months. But the endurance mode in GT4 is killing me. God of Wars looks good

It was about a month ago I did my GT4 updates. The last month had been busy with works and GT4 was mostly boring endurance race. Its hard to get a car that is competative to a endurance race. It will be either too powerful or too weak against other opponents, so most of time I just get a faster car and try to get over the race fast. Below is my current stat.
Percent Complete: 42.4%
A-spec point: 12006 (3420km)
B-spec point: 2792 (5541 km)
Day Passed: 607
Car Owned: 80 (70 Won)
Credit: 3,514,930
Winning %: 57.7%
Favourite Car: Formula Gran Turismo
Fastest Car: Cadillac CIEN (HP: 907)
Now that I had my cheap woofer connected to the bedroom TV where PS2 was connected, I had a good time listening to the roar of those muscle cars.

I am back to GT4 after more than a week did not play. I find it the navigation is getting annoying especially selecting a right car for a race. There are no information on what level of opponent before selecting the race. There are a lot of time I selected a car that is way too powerful, It would be a very boring race if I can over take all cars before the first turn, and the A-Spec points won will be puny. There are times I have to go back and forth from Home to the game hall 4-5 times just to get the right car for the race!!! It will be great if it shows the range of opponent's horsepower before entering the race. It will be fantastic if you could select your car after selected a race event!! that would save a lot button pressing! Anyway .. below is my current stats.
Percent Complete: 30.6%
A-spec point: 9834 (2347km)
B-spec point: 1632 (518 km)

Car Owned: 62 (55 Won)
